David Gerhardt
After 44 years of silence, I decided to write a book on Vietnam including the political and social times of the late 60’s and early 70’s. Early in my adult life, I volunteered for the Marines and later for duty in Vietnam, serving as a grenadier, awards writer, and combat squad leader. Readers have said that they never understood the Vietnam War until they read this book. For others, it helped serve as closure for an unforgettable rough time in our recent history. These type testimonials make this two-year project worthwhile.
After the marines, I became a businessman and entrepreneur, designing products that earned patents in the U.S. and Canada. My business life inspired me to write the earlier book, “Communication Talks, B/S Walks.” My wife Connie and I live on a small horse farm in New Albany, Ohio.
